AEW Superstar, Kenny Omega, has dropped several WWE names as talent that he would love to work with in the future.

‘The Cleaner’ and number one contender to the AEW World Heavyweight Championship has worked with many names over the years and depending on your taste, had countless five star matches. Now, however, he has his eyes set on WWE’s cream of the crop.

Sitting down with Forbes, the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion was asked who his ideal opponent would be and his answer shocked many devotees of AEW:

“AJ Styles. AJ and I worked together in New Japan. He saved me in a lot of ways when I was thinking about possibly getting out of wrestling. He was there for me to help point me in the right direction and I think he would be a great opponent.”

As stated, Omega and Styles have done battle before and the latter’s answer ties into what he recently said about a potential WWE/AEW crossover. While it’s unlikely that will ever occur, it’s something the talent remains open to.

‘The Phenomenal One’ wasn’t the only name on Kenny’s list, however. Seth Rollins, Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were also joint first.

“I get compared a lot to Seth Rollins. Seth is a great wrestler and I think we could have some really great matches together. I just want to work with good people—not good people in the sense that they’re only talented in the ring, but people who are genuinely good dudes who the fans would want to see me wrestle. At the end of the day, I’d just want to wrestle the opponents who would make fans the most excited because that’s really what it’s all about.”

Kenny Omega vs. AJ Styles, Kenny Omega vs. Seth Rollins and a potential Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks vs. The New Day – something we’ve seen in the gaming world – are potential fantasy warfare situations that would get any fan salivating.

Kenny Omega will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship on December 2 at AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming.
