‘Le Champion’ Chris Jericho, has given his surprising reaction to the rare defeat of AEW Dynamite in the ratings for November 25 to NXT.

Losing out to a terrific main event which saw Pete Dunne defeat Kyle O’Reilly in a Ladder Match which gave The Kings of NXT the numbers advantage in WarGames on December 6, Jericho took to social media to state that the ratings didn’t matter because it was all about the demos.

In an upbeat tweet, former AEW World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho declared victory, stating:

“It’s all about the Demo daddy. #wewinagain.”

Though AEW lost out to NXT by a minimal two thousand viewers in the ratings, their rating in the 18-49 key demographic was an improvement over WWE’s black and gold brand. From statistics provided by Showbuzz Daily, the Jacksonville promotion charted at seventh while NXT were further down the list at twenty fifth.

However, despite being victorious in the demos, All Elite Wrestling saw a sixteen percent fall in overall viewership from the previous week, while NXT experienced a twelve percent jump.

While NXT exhibited Dunne and O’Reilly in their main event with Toni Storm’s shocking heel turn, the return of Kevin Owens and the continuation of the baffling Boa storyline, AEW could only offer Hikaru Shida vs. Anna Jay for the AEW Women’s Championship, Hangman Page vs. John Silva and The Inner Circle vs. SCU.
