Kip Sabian To Undergo Surgery

Kip Sabian

AEW star Kip Sabian has revealed that he is set to undergo surgery.

On the April 28th episode of AEW Dynamite Sabian was attacked backstage by Miro. After appearing in Penelope Ford’s corner for her match against Kris Statlander, Sabian bumped into Miro backstage. Miro, still seething from the pair’s loss in the Arcade Anarchy match weeks previously, proceeded to put an almighty beatdown on Sabian.

Posting on social media in the days after the confrontation Sabian revealed that he was to undergo surgery. The British-born star commented “Eyes finally opened.”

While Sabian has attributed his surgery to Miro in storyline, it has been reported that Sabian was injured prior to Dynamite and the angle with Miro was so he was written off television.

According to Fightful Select, the nature of Sabian’s injury is unknown, but he’s again “on the shelf.”

“We haven’t seen Kip Sabian wrestle in over a month after he returned from an injury that had sidelined him for a couple before that. We weren’t told of a specific injury, but were told in late April that Sabian was “on the shelf” again, prior to being attacked by Miro on last week’s Dynamite.

Kip Sabian hasn’t wrestled since the chaotic Arcade Anarchy match on the March 31st episode of Dynamite. The 28-year-old also missed two months over the new year period, before returning to the ring in late February.
