After his appearances on AEW television in 2022, New Japan Pro Wrestling Star Will Ospreay has proven he is no stranger to sauntering through the forbidden door. The current IWGP United States champion even faced Orange Cassidy at the pay-per-view of the same name, just to hammer that point home.

Will Ospreay Sets Sights On Seth Rollins

During the conversation Ospreay said that he would like to test himself against WWE United States Champion Seth Rollins. The pair famously got into an online spat in 2019 when Rollings suggested that WWE is home to the best wrestling in the world, while he is the best and most consistent star on the planet.

“I’ve mentioned Seth Rollins’ name many times, and he’s approached me, so I have a lot of thoughts about it,”

During the exchange between the pair, the WWE star mocked Ospreay for being just a “worse version” of Ricochet. The New Japan star and Ricochet have clashed numerous times during their careers, including an acclaimed bout in NJPW Best Of The Super Juniors XXIII. With regard to Ricochet, Ospreay said that he would love to face him one more time, and he has even discussed the prospect with WWE in the past.

“Also, considering my history, I think it would be a dream come true to fight Ricochet one more time. I think we’ve both become completely different wrestlers from when we fought in the past. I think we’re at a turning point right now, and in the past I’ve talked with people from WWE about how it would be great if we could have a dream match in the future that transcends the boundaries of the organization. I don’t think it’s impossible, and I always want to test my own true ability,”

Seth Rollins was most recently in action on the November 7th episode of Monday Night Raw where he fended off Austin Theory as he unsuccessfully cashed in his Money In The Bank contract.
