Batista Confirms WWE Hall Of Fame Induction Delay

Former WWE Champion Batista has confirmed that he has delayed his WWE Hall Of Fame induction until there will be fans allowed at the ceremony.

It had initially been reported a little over a week ago that Batista was set to miss the 2021 Hall of Fame ceremony, where he was set to be inducted as part of the 2020 class, and now The Animal himself as confirmed the news.

The WWE Superstar turned actor posted on Twitter that the decision was due to “previous obligations” and that he had requested to be inducted when he could properly thank the fans.

The Hall of Fame induction ceremony for 2020 was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was revealed in the run up to WrestleMania 37 that the classes of 2020 and 2021 would be inducted together.

The former member of the legendary Evolution stable was due to be inducted into the Hall of Fame along with the nWo, John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield, Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger, The British Bulldog and The Bella Twins.

While the class of 2021 will include former WWE Women’s Champion Molly Holly and the former WCW President and RAW General Manager, Eric Bischoff.

Batista was last seen in WWE at WrestleMania 35 where he was defeated by Triple H following interference from Ric Flair. Following the match Batista would announce his retirement from professional wrestling.
