Edge Attends Independent Wrestling Show To Watch FTR vs. The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express

WWE Hall Of Famer Edge has shared a photo from his road trip that he took to watch two of his friends in FTR renew hostilities with The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express.

Edge might have big plans for the Royal Rumble on the 29th of January when he and his fellow WWE Hall Of Famer and wife Beth Phoenix take on the troublesome Miz and Maryse but he was able to take time out to visit with some old friends at an independent wrestling show.

Former AEW and current AAA Tag Team Champions FTR faced off with The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express at a show for Big Time Wrestling in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Edge made sure he was in attendance.

The rivalry between FTR and The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express can be dated back to an ill-fated ‘Tag Team Appreciation Night’ in AEW when FTR and The Young Bucks took to the ring to honour legendary tag teams in Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson as well as Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson.

Things soon went south as FTR took advantage of tension created by their soon-to-be manager Blanchard and jumped The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express from behind.

Edge made sure he was in attendance to catch the bout between the two teams, sharing a photo on social media with the caption:

“Made a little road trip to see this one and catch up with some old friends.”

Despite hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Edge has made his home in recent years in Asheville, North Carolina – not far from where Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler reside.

Edge made mention of his friendship with Harwood and Wheeler on WWE television when he referenced “Daniel and David” during his feud with Seth Rollins after Rollins had broken into The Rated-R Superstar’s home. The Daniel and David in question referenced FTR using the duos real names.
