Matt Hardy has taken to social media in order to make a bold promise for his Elite Deletion Match this Saturday at AEW Full Gear.

In an Instagram post ahead of his All Out rematch with Sammy Guevara, Matt Hardy promised that the final collision between the pair would be remembered for eternity. He posted:

“In less than a week, The #EliteDELETION will happen at #AEWFullGear & I’m confident it will be remembered for eternity.”

That wasn’t the last he had to say on the matter. Switching platforms, Hardy took to Twitter in order to post another part of his cryptic message which stated:

“I can promise all the @AEW fans this – The #EliteDELETION is gonna leave people talking & in shock. I’m gonna kill it & rock #AEWFullGear & redeem the shortcomings from my #AEWAllOut battle.”

While the Elite Deletion Match was always speculated to be a cinematic spectacle, Matt Hardy has confirmed the rumour with another Twitter post in which he included a video of him and Bray Wyatt stood by the Lake of Reincarnation.

The post confirms that the battle will be fought at the Hardy Compound as Matt looks to cleanse Guevara following their fateful brawl earlier this year.

Matt Hardy’s last bout with Guevara at AEW All Out ended in shocking and dramatic fashion when the pair flew from a platform and crashed to the concrete. The match was stopped when Hardy’s head connected in sickening fashion with the floor and he received a severe concussion despite the protestations of Chris Jericho and Tony Khan.

Inside the Ropes will have live coverage of AEW Full Gear on Saturday November 5.
