Injury Update on AEW Star Brian Cage

Brian Cage in the ring

Brian Cage should be back in the ring again soon.

Cage was originally scheduled to be a part of Triple A’s Triplemania 31, competing in a match for the vacant Latin American Championship against Pentagon Jr., Dralistico and QT Marshall. Cage would be replaced by Texano Jr., with Marshall going on to win the match.

Taking to social media to provide fans with an update, Cage recorded a video while lying in a hospital bed. The Machine stated that he was planning on coming down to Mexico, but things don’t work out the way they want to.

Cage briefly panned the camera down to show a drip in his arm, before revealing he was in the emergency room. Although stated that he is still alive and still kicking, he would not be able to make it to Triplemania. In more positive news, Cage revealed that the stint on the sidelines is a brief one and he will be good to go the following week in a caption for the accompanying video.

Brian Cage Remaining With AEW

The former FTW Champion will remain All Elite for the foreseeable future following the decision to renew his contract back in February. Cage did previously have a try-out with WWE prior to signing with AEW, but was told that he was “average at best.”

Following the acquisition of Ring of Honor by Tony Khan, Cage has been featured more often on ROH programming, currently reigning as the ROH World Six-Man Champion alongside Mogul Embassy members Kaun and Toa Liona.

Inside The Ropes would like to wish Brian Cage a full recovery.
