Bray Wyatt Once Pitched Match Against Sting With An Insane Stipulation

Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt is no stranger to a stipulation match with the star competing in Firefly Funhouse matches, Firefly Inferno matches, and even a Wyatt Swamp bout, but it has emerged he once suggested an extraordinary match that would have pitted him against WWE Hall of Famer Sting.

Sting debuted in WWE back in 2014 when he acted spoiler in Triple H and Stephanie McMahon’s attempt to remain in charge at that year’s Survivor Series. The Authority soon returned, however, and so did The Icon as he squared off with Triple H in his first match in the company at WrestleMania 31. A match that The Game won but is best remembered for the ringside fight between DX and the nWo.

Bray Wyatt Wanted To Take On Sting

Sting’s time in a WWE ring came to an end at Night of Champions 2015 when he lost in a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins. That match ended amid great concern as Sting suffered an injury that ended his WWE career.

According to The Sportster, that came as bad news to Bray Wyatt who once pitched to take on the WWE Hall of Famer in a Chainsaw Match. The match would have likely been a cinematic match, something both men are very familiar with.

Sting debuted for AEW in late 2020 with his first match coming at Revolution 2021. That bout was a cinematic Street Fight that pitted Sting and Darby Allin against the Team Taz duo of Ricky Starks and Brian Cage. In thirteen matches in AEW, Sting has gone undefeated albeit all in tag team action.

Bray Wyatt returned to WWE at Extreme Rules 2022 following his shock release from the company in the summer of 2021. Wyatt has yet to compete since rejoining the company but LA Knight has his sights set on the former WWE Champion.
