Roman Reigns Passes Another Insane WWE Milestone

Roman Reigns WWE Universal Champion

Roman Reigns is having an unparalleled run at the top of WWE as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and he has smashed through another milestone as his time at the top shows no signs of slowing down.

Reigns has been on the run of his life at the top of WWE since returning to the company after a short hiatus at SummerSlam 2020. Not long after his return Reigns unveiled his new partnership with his Special Counsel Paul Heyman and captured the Universal Championship – a title that he has held ever since.

Roman Reigns smashes past another milestone

Since then Roman Reigns has defended his Universal Title successfully against the likes of Edge, Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, and many more. The Tribal Chief added to his legacy when he defeated Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania 38 to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Reigns has entered the pantheon of wrestling greats as Universal Champion, with a reign with that title that now stands at well over 800 days which is the sixth longest world title reign in company history.

But now Roman Reigns has burst into the top four on the all-time list as combined days as a WWE Champion, with that number now over 1,260 days. That takes Reigns past John Cena on the list with only Bob Backlund, Hulk Hogan, and Bruno Sammartino now ahead of Reigns.

Backlund and Hogan have both cleared 2,000 days as WWE Champion but The Tribal Chief will have some going to try and overtake Sammartino on the list with the iconic WWE star holding the title for 4,040 days.

Rumours continue to persist as to who Roman Reigns will face at WrestleMania 39 with The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) strongly considered to be the man who will face him. With the Royal Rumble just around the corner, Reigns’ path to WrestleMania is sure to become a lot clearer.
