Brock Lesnar has done it all in his wrestling career, going from amateur standout and NCAA Division 1 Champion to conquering WWE and holding the WWE Championship on numerous occasions. His foray into MMA brought success as well as he was crowned UFC Heavyweight Champion in November 2008.
What is less known about The Beast Incarnate is his personal life. Lesnar is famously an intensely private person but he does have a rather famous wife in her own right, former WWE star, Sable.
Sable was one of the biggest stars in the company during the Attitude Era as her sex appeal won her legions of male fans with legions of female ones following when she took the fight to her now ex-husband, Marc Mero, on WWE TV. She left the company under a cloud as she launched a $110 million lawsuit against WWE citing sexual harassment. That suit was settled out of court in August 1999.
Brock Lesnar Broke Into His Wife’s House
Sable returned to WWE in April 2003 for a sixteen-month stint that is best remembered for her on-screen relationship with Vince McMahon.
Writing in his book, Death Clutch: My Story of Determination, Domination, and Survival, Brock Lesnar explained that he and Sable briefly split up in 2004 and she returned to her Florida home. Lesnar soon realised that she was the one he wanted to be with and took a novel approach to get her attention by breaking into her house:
“I saw a neighbor standing by his garage, and I knew he had seen me around with Rena (Sable) enough to know we were a couple. That was a lucky break for me because the guy never got suspicious. I told him I was working in the backyard and needed a screwdriver … I used the screwdriver he loaned me to get into one of her sliding doors, and of course, the alarm goes off as soon as I get into the house. I knew the passcode, so I shut off the alarm.”
Brock Lesnar then explained how Sable was none too pleased to receive a call from her own landline phone. However, the story had a happy ending as the pair were engaged to be married by the end of the week.
