The Gunn Club Is No More, Billy Gunn Reunites With Former Partners

AEW Tag Team Austin and Colten Gunn Gunn Club Billy Gunn

After the Gunn Club shockingly turned on their father on AEW Dynamite, Billy Gunn went back to an old alliance.

On an episode of AEW Dynamite sponsored by House of Dragon, it’s no surprise that family betrayal would play a part. After Austin and Colten Gunn successfully defeated the Varsity Blondes (who’ve had strife of their own in recent months), their father Billy Gunn took to the microphone to praise his sons, saying that working with them has been the best part of his career.

However, as the family appeared to have a heartwarming moment, Stokely Hathaway appeared on the ramp and signaled to the Gunn sons. The so-called Ass Boys then turned on their father, executing a betrayal worthy of the Game of Thrones prequel series.

Understandably taken aback, Billy Gunn looked heartbroken at the attack – but the sounds of the Acclaimed’s theme rang out throughout the arena as Max Caster and Anthony Bowens ran in to make the save for their former ally. Gunn looked hesitant as he’d accompanied his sons in turning on the popular team in July, but Anthony Bowens made it clear that all seemed forgiven as he exclaimed the familiar phrase, “Scissor me, Daddy Ass!

Daddy Ass was all too happy to join in the three-way scissoring in the middle of the ring, making the reunion official.

Elsewhere on AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega made his return after nearly a year away to reunite with the Young Buck and secure a quarterfinal victory in the Trios Championship Tournament.
