Wardlow Wins TNT Championship At AEW Revolution

Wardlow AEW

In a match that was about so much more than championship gold, Wardlow defeated Samoa Joe to win the TNT Title.

To find the start of this rivalry fans need to go all of the way back to 2022. The two men had been friends and even teamed together, before Joe decided he would be better off on his own. The feud went on to hit a new high as Joe cut off Wardlow’s hair which had been a tribute to his late father.

Although Joe later lost the TNT Title he quickly won it back, defeating Darby Allin.

At Revolution, Wardlow came out flying, but Joe responded by slowing the pace. However, Mr Mayhem wasn’t be be denied. He pulled out every signature move in his arsenal and then some.

The challenger eventually felled Joe with a huge headbutt before locking in a Kokina Clutch and Joe was unable to escape.

Wardlow Already Knows The Identity Of His First Challenger

On the March 1st episode of Dynamite eight men went to war in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match. Bodies and ladders were broken but in the end it was Powerhouse Hobbs who grabbed the win, and in doing so a shot at the TNT Champion on the March 8th episode of Dynamite.

This is something Hobbs was keen to remind Wardlow of as soon as he scored the win, taunting his rival from high up in the arena.
