Becky Lynch Set For Match With WWE Legend At SummerSlam

Becky Lynch

WrestleMania might be just around the corner, but it has been reported that Becky Lynch could square off against a WWE Hall of Famer at SummerSlam.

In recent years Lynch has cemented herself as one of the biggest names in WWE, with her star power now taking her into the mainstream. During this period she has main evented WrestleMania and featured in a number of high-profile matches with the likes of Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair.

In recent weeks she captured the Women’s Tag Team Titles alongside WWE legend Lita. Their victory over Damage CTRL came with a helping hand from Hall of Famer Trish Stratus who took out Bayley at ringside. The following week as the trio toasted the win in the ring they were confronted by Bayley, IYO SKY, and Dakota Kai.

The end result was a huge six-woman match being made for WrestleMania 39.

This announcement came after it was reported that Stratus is expected to be involved with “high-level stars” a role that fans might not expect. Interestingly, according to WRKD Wrestling, it now appears that this plan involves turning heel and facing Becky Lynch at SummerSlam.

“The long term plan, as of this moment, is that Trish Stratus will turn heel and work a program with Becky Lynch through SummerSlam.”

Vince Russo Blasts Use Of Legends Alongside Becky Lynch

Although fans have welcomed Lita and Trish Stratus back into the fold, former WWE writer Vince Russo was much less positive. The veteran dismissed Stratus and Lita as mothers who are passed their prime. This is despite Lita not having any children.
