AEW All In is growing to be so big that one retired star appears to be contemplating getting back in the ring.
In the latest update, AEW boss Tony Khan noted that as of May 5th, more than 60,000 tickets had now been sold. In response to the tweet, Ring of Honor legend and recent AEW signing Nigel McGuinness said that he might come out of retirement if the show sells out.
“Yikes – I think I said if it sells out i might just have to dust off the old boots.”
The British star was released by WWE back in October 2022, ending a six-year spell with the company. During his time with WWE, McGuinness worked as a commentator on both NXT and NXT UK. After making a surprise appearance at ROH Supercard of Honor it was announced that McGuinness had signed with AEW.
While discussing getting back in the ring previously, the star hinted that he could be tempted by a match with Bryan Danielson, his long-time rival in ROH. McGuinness hasn’t wrestled since December 2011.

AEW All In Surpasses WWE Clash At The Castle
The pre-sale for All In saw a stunning 50,000 tickets sold, and that momentum has continued into the general sale. It was reported on May 5th, that after flying past the 60,000 mark, the event has now sold more tickets than WWE Clash At The Castle.
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer offered further analysis of the impressive ticket sales noting that the event will likely take the record as the largest non-WWE gate in history.
