NJPW Royal Quest UK

NJPW returns to the UK in October.

As announced by the promotion on Monday, August 14th, the third-ever Royal Quest show comes to London on Saturday, October 14th, taking place at The Copper Box Arena.

Already confirmed for the event are IWGP Heavyweight Champion SANADA and G1 Climax 33 winner Tetsuya Naito, with many more due to be announced in the coming weeks.

UK fans of the promotion will be hoping that hometown hero Will Ospreay will be announced for the event, who has also given his championship a makeover.

The announcement by New Japan means that UK wrestling fans have been spoilt for choice in 2023, as WWE, AEW and IMPACT Wrestling have all announced shows in the United Kingdom.

What Happened At The First UK NJPW Show?

Also taking place at The Copper Box Arena in London, New Japan would host their debut show in the United Kingdom in August 2019. With 4 titles being defended on the show, the main event saw Kazuchika Okada successfully retain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Minoru Suzuki.

Wanting to return in a big way 3 years later, the second Royal Quest show would be held over 2 nights and feature 16 matches in total. FTR would retain their IWGP Tag Team Championships in the main event of night one, while Naito would defeat Zack Sabre Jr. in the closing match of the second night.

Currently, NJPW has only announced one night for the third-ever show.
