“He Has No Spine Whatsoever” – Eric Bischoff Blasts Vince Russo

Eric Bischoff

Eric Bischoff does not miss working with Vince Russo – or hearing him for that matter.

Bischoff and The Podfather Conrad Thompson spent a good deal of this week’s 83 Weeks assessing all that went down this past weekend at SummerSlam, but years ago WWE wasn’t the only promotion that had a memorable PPV for the season.

WCW made history both good and bad with Bash At The Beach. The good came from 1996 when Hulk Hogan finally turned heel and joined Scott Hall and Kevin Nash to form the NWO, but the real bad came four years later – so much that they did a Dark Side of The Ring on it.

Thompson asked the former WCW President if he happened to see the episode showcasing all the ugly that unfolded at Bash At The Beach 2000 and Bischoff did, but did it with a sour taste in his mouth, greatly in part due to Vince Russo.

“I had a hard time watching it. You know, I got up early in the morning when I thought we were going to cover it. I started watching it. I had to turn it off. I couldn’t stand it. You know, Vince Russo’s voice and his staccato New York delivery and just trying to force people to understand what he’s saying just drove me batsh*t crazy. I watched about eight or 10 minutes and listened to his bullsh*t and the way he delivers his bullsh*t and I turned it off and walked away from it.”

Eric Bischoff Calls Vince Russo A Pathological Liar

Bischoff continued in his disdain for Russo, stating his side of the story when it came to WCW and how Brad Siegel had to pay Easy E $2 Million to come in and oversee Russo’s work because he couldn’t be trusted. He also puts Russo’s ability to handle confrontation in question.

“He is a pathological liar that’s got some serious issues, not the least of which is that he confronts anybody, because he doesn’t have the balls to confront anybody. My wife would back him down and make him cry. I’ve seen it. I’ve seen it face to face.

“I’ve watched him fall apart and the minute you put a guy like Vince Russo under any kind of pressure and question him, that’s the part that he can’t handle. He can’t handle being questioned because he doesn’t have answers. He just has emotion, no answers, no plan, no what’s next, no where it’s going, just his emotional commitment to whatever’s going through his mind at the moment. He’s one of the flakiest people I’ve ever met.”
