Bray Wyatt Makes Stunning Return At WWE Extreme Rules

Bray Wyatt returned as WWE Extreme Rules 2022

In a moment that has the potential to be remembered for years to come, Bray Wyatt returned to WWE at Extreme Rules.

There had been teases upon teases, hints, clues, conspiracy theories and everything in between. For the best part of a month vignettes played out at live events, on WWE television and they left fans with one question. That has to be for Bray Wyatt right?

At Extreme Rules the teases kept coming but as the show prepared to go off the air, there had still been no sign of Wyatt or the long-rumoured “big reveal.” But then the lights dimmed, and the crowd were sent into raptures.

Characters from the Firefly Fun House were positioned around the arena as a voice sang “He’s got the whole world in his hands.” A character in a Fiend mask also made an appearance at ringside to a huge ovation.

At this, the action cut to a video package featuring references to Wyatt’s past covered in cobwebs. On a television a man in a mask asked “Who killed the world?” before answering “You did.” This eventually led to the reveal of a doorway which swung open displaying a shaft of light.

Slowly but surely, a figure made their way towards the door. A figure with a lantern. As the crowd exploded the masked figure moved in close to the camera and slowly removed their mask, revealing that they were in fact Bray Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt was released by WWE in July 2021, and has been lined with a return pretty much ever since he left. Hopes of a comeback appeared to increase with the retirement of Vince McMahon, and so it proved.

Bray Wyatt is back.
