Spoiler On Two Legends Set To Return At WWE Raw 30th Anniversary Special

WWE Raw 30th anniversary

On January 23rd, WWE Raw will celebrate it’s 30th anniversary with a special show in Philadelphia.

The first episode of WWE Monday Night Raw was broadcast on January 11th 1993, replacing Prime Time Wrestling which had been running for eight years.

The show came live from the Grand Ballroom at the Manhattan Center in New York City and revolutionised the way that wrestling was broadcast to the world. While previous shows had been taped at sound stages in front of small crowds, Raw was a bold step into the future.

While Raw has changed immeasurably in the decades since it’s debut and moved from the Manhattan Center many years ago, the show has returned for special occasions. On January 22nd 2018, the show celebrated it’s 25th anniversary with a special simulcast from the Manhattan Center and the Barclays Center. The portion of the show from the historic venue featured an appearance from The Undertaker.

Legends Set For WWE Raw Appearance

With the 30th anniversary episode of the show moving ever closer, fans have begun to wonder who might show up on the big night. Kurt Angle has revealed that he had held talks over an appearance, while Ric Flair has confirmed that he will be at the show.

According to a new report from PWInsider, Sean Waltman, better known as X-Pac, and Kane will also be at the show.

There is now more attention on the taping than ever following Vince McMahon’s return to WWE’s Board of Directors. Although McMahon has stated that his return is purely to facilitate the sale of the company, rumours are running wild over his perceived ‘true’ involvement. Despite the controversy, Ric Flair recently stated that he was happy that McMahon is back and said that he should appear on television at the 30th anniversary Raw show.
