“Make Them Shut Up” – Current WWE Star Hits Back At Online Critics

Omos & Seth Rollins

Omos began training to be a wrestler after signing with WWE in January 2019, and a little over a year later he was on Monday Night Raw.

His imposing size made him impossible to ignore and by the end of 2020 he was teaming with former World Champion AJ Styles, going on to win tag team gold in early 2021.

However, his run with Styles eventually came to an end and the Nigerian Giant headed out on his own once again. His most recent big match came against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39.

Omos has drawn criticism in some quarters for his in-ring performances, while others have suggested that fans expect too much given his size. Speaking in a new interview with SHAK Wrestling, the star admitted that he is aware of the criticism, but is aiming to shut his critics up.

“I just gotta perform for me. As long as [the crowd] enjoys it, I see everything [about me] online… but at the end of the day all you gotta do is go out, perform, and make them shut up.”

One of Omos’ most well-received matches came against Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel 2022, and the star admitted that the match was a way to prove the doubters wrong.

“I remember all the doubters before we went out there and had that good match that we did. Sometimes you just gotta show that you are who you are.”

Omos Has “More Upside” Than Andre The Giant

While fans are divided on Omos, he has some big supporters within WWE. On a recent episode of his podcast, Road Dogg suggested that the star has more upside than the likes of Andre The Giant and The Big Show.

Meanwhile, The Undertaker has also praised the star, tipping him to become a major player in the company.
