AEW Announces Two New Signings

AEW Roster

The 5/24 episode of AEW Dynamite kicked off with an International Championship match between defending Champion Orange Cassidy and his challenger, Kyle Fletcher of Aussie Open.

Even though Fletcher didn’t end up pulling out the victory on this occasion, he and tag team partner Mark Davis have been added to the AEW roster! Tony Khan revealed the news on Twitter earlier tonight:

“They’re one of the top tag teams in the world, and now it’s official: Aussie Open @kylefletcherpro @DUNKZILLADavis are ALL ELITE!,” Tony Khan wrote on Twitter. “Incredible match tonight Kyle Fletcher on @TBSNetwork on Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite, and get well soon, Mark Davis!”

Aussie Open’s appearances in AEW so far

Aussie Open has been appearing on AEW television on and off over the past year, ever since the build up to the first AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view. The duo had to recently vacate the IWGP and New Japan Strong Tag Team titles after Davis suffered a knee injury. The three-way Title defense they were scheduled for at NJPW Dominion has now been changed to omit the duo.

Fletcher has recently pivoted to a rivalry with Orange Cassidy on AEW television, culminating in an International Championship that went down on the 5/24 Dynamite. Cassidy ended up winning the bout with a unique pinning maneuver.
