John Cena Joining The Fortnite Roster

John Cena added to Fortnite

In the final of three celebrations as part of Epic Games SummerSlam, John Cena will be joining the roster of Fortnite this weekend!

Fortnite made the announcement of the multi-time World Champion’s addition to the game, which joins news of Cena and Roman Reigns coming to Rocket League, and The Undertaker, Asuka, and Xavier Woods being added to Fall Guys. All three additions will come over SummerSlam weekend.

It was confirmed that Cena will come with both in-ring and entrance gear, with his addition coming alongside the “open-hand Five Digit Slapper Pickaxe” and the “U Can’t See Me emote”:

“The Champ… is… HERE. (Soon!)

As part of the Epic SummerSlam, 16-time Champion John Cena gives opponents an Attitude Adjustment in Fortnite. The John Cena Outfit is available in the Item Shop starting July 28 at 8 PM ET, complete with the Entrance Gear and Ring Gear Styles. Check out the Outfit below.

No, the Outfit doesn’t actually have an invisibility feature, but it will have matching accessories available! Also coming to the Item Shop are more items from the John Cena Set: the WWE Championship Title Back Bling (included with the Outfit), the open-hand Five Digit Slapper Pickaxe, and the U Can’t C Me Emote (pictured above… if you can see it.)

Make your opponents no match for Big Match John!”

Although John Cena is hardly a new character in the world of video games, having appeared in a wide array of WWE releases, Cena also voiced Hulk in Marvel Avengers Academy.

The multi-time World Champion returned to WWE programming at the end of June, celebrating his twentieth anniversary with the company. Although there were rumours of a SummerSlam encounter vs. Theory, it was then confirmed that Cena wouldn’t compete on the card.

WWE additions to Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League are coming via Epic Games Celebration weekend, being made available from Thursday, 28 June and leaving on Tuesday, 2 August. Cena’s participation in Fortnite will begin at 8pm EST (1am BST for those in the United Kingdom).
