Tony Khan Touts Financial Success Of AEW All In

AEW President Tony Khan has hailed the financial success of AEW All In.

A bumper crowd of 81,035 packed into London’s famous Wembley Stadium on Sunday 27th August for the company’s first European show which was headlined by a bout between MJF and Adam Cole for the AEW World Championship.

Khan noted during a live episode of AEW Unrestricted at Starrcast that Ring Of Honor owned the footage to the original All In, a ground breaking independent show held in Chicago in 2018 and promoted by Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks.

The AEW President purchased Ring Of Honor in March 2022, a deal that included the footage from that event. Khan pointed out in the Starrcast interview that the huge financial success of AEW All In alone went to multiple times the amount he paid for ROH:

“When I purchased Ring of Honor, Ring of Honor produced the show, I was able to buy the tape in the sale, which was a very lucrative part of the sale. In fact, the gate for Wembley Stadium at All In was several times the price of the entire company. I got quite a steal, to say the least.”

How Much Money Did AEW Make From All In?

Before the event had taken place, Khan was confident that AEW would score a huge financial gain from the event, revealing in an interview with CNBC’s Street Signs that over $10m dollars would be made from ticket sales alone:

“We’re going to make a ton of money on AEW All In. Frankly, before the pay-per-view, it’s already a wildly profitable event based on the ticket sales, which are massive, in the neighborhood of $10 million in tickets we’ve sold.

We’re going to have 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium. It’s going to be all kinds of attendance records and a great evening of pro wrestling. The pay-per-view advances have been incredibly strong, our biggest in years, one of our top two of all-time and possibly our biggest ever for pay-per-view when it’s all said and done. It’s so huge as a live event that it’s already guaranteed to be a profitable event.”
