Raquel Rodriguez has welcomed the arrival of Jade Cargill.
Back in September WWE secured the signing of the former TBS Champion in a move that was seen as a massive coup for the company. Cargill had become one of the biggest stars in AEW’s women’s division and was seen as someone who could be a major star for many years to come.
However, following a rivalry with Kris Statlander, Cargill allowed her contract to expire, deciding to move to WWE.
Cargill will undoubtedly shake up WWE, and open the door for a whole host of new and interesting match-ups. One of those matches could see the star take on Raquel Rodriguez who is one of the few women who can match Cargill for physicality.
Speaking on The Bump, Rodriguez said the signing of Cargill could only be a massive positive.
“I think it’s great. Like we were talking about, our women’s division is growing. We are main eventing different shows on all of the platforms. So to get another talent from an outside company come in and she’s got such a massive following, and she’s just adding to the list of big girls that someone’s got to squash, probably me. I think it’s great, it’s great to have this competition in the women’s division and have this star power.”
When Is Jade Cargill Going To Debut For WWE?
Despite the speculation surrounding her, the former AEW star is yet to appear on WWE television. However, a recent report claims this could be about to change.
It’s been reported that Jade Cargill is scheduled to be at Fastlane on October 7th, although there’s no word on whether she’ll appear on-screen. A subsequent report noted that Jade Cargill was spotted in Indianapolis the day before Fastlane.
