A new era for WWE is likely to begin in September.

It’s been over five months since the announcement that Vince McMahon sold WWE to Endeavor and a new article from Deadline gives a timeframe to the history-making move.

The timeframe for the merger to go down is mid-to-late September and WWE will fuse with Endeavor to form a new entity called TKO Group Holdings as Endeavor also owns UFC. In the press release that Endeavor unleashed, CEO Ari Manuel made the following statement regarding his whole property, making it known of their long-term goals with such valuable fight brands in addition to their other ventures.

“We remain focused on maintaining prudent capital allocation and delivering long term sustainable growth for the company.”

In recent news the date for WWE and Endeavours merger has been set.

“The Times Are A-Changin'” For WWE

While WWE always seems to be undergoing changes, the company really has felt such winds since the second half of 2022 with the “retirement” of McMahon. McMahon’s exit finally opened the door for Triple H to fully take the reins both creatively and talent-wise, but Vince McMahon shocked the world with a surprise return as Chairman just in time for WrestleMania 39 and the aforementioned sale of the company.

Despite a clear distinction of what his duties were, McMahon eventually got involved with creative and significant changes to the product Triple H was putting on. However, McMahon recently underwent major spinal surgery and received a federal subpeona due to his sexual misconduct allegations so how much he actually remains involved with the creative side of things remains unseen.

Recently Dave Meltzer reported that Endeavor are putting more focus on NXT.

SmackDown’s September 8th episode saw a viewership drop due to missing John Cena and Roman Reigns.
