Following some fan backlash about the cost of the title, one third of the current title holders Anthony Bowens took to social media site ‘X’ to defend the pricing, suggesting that the belts were not simply replicas but actual reproductions of the belts used on television:
“For those going crazy, these are the legit belts. Not factory made replicas.
Replica belts would take about 9 months to get produced. If something happened to one of ours, they would have been replaced by one of these. Hand crafted by Red Leather Belts. Only 10 are available. So yes this a release for a hardcore collector.
We are also working on trying to get toy versions of these as well. Trust me, if it were a commercial release it wouldn’t be 5k haha”
Who Currently Holds The AEW World Trios Championship?
The current title holders are The Acclaimed (Max Castle and Anthony Bowens) and Billy Gunn. The trio won defeated The House Of Black (Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews and Brody King) at AEW All In on 27th August to lift the crown.
