Booker T believes that Ilja Dragunov has the tools to be a huge star in WWE.

The WWE Hall Of Famer believes Dragunov is a unique talent that fans will want to watch time and time again.

Speaking on the Hall of Fame with Booker T & Brad Gilmore podcast, the former five-time WCW Champion heaped praise upon Dragunov:

“Ilja Dragunov is a superstar. That’s a throwback to back in the day, before me, the Buzz Sawyers of the world that really made you think, ‘Man, this guy here is different than everybody else that walks out of that curtain, that walked down that aisle. He’s different.

There’s something about this dude right here. All of those other matches, we just saw those matches, but watch this guy right here go out and do it.’ That’s what Ilja Dragunov is to me — that wrestler that makes that fan feel everything that’s going on.

And when they walk out of the arena after watching Ilja, they can’t wait to come back and watch Ilja again, do it all over again because they want that adrenaline rush. They want that endorphin one more time that Ilja made them have.”

It is not the first time that Booker T has highlighted his enjoyment of Dragunov’s work, previously mentioning on his podcast that he felt the Moscow-born Superstar was one big win away from the top:

“You know, I’m really excited about that one because I’ve been saying, Dragunov is like one big win away from being the guy.

I’m gonna tell you right now, don’t nobody work harder than Ilja ‘The Mad Dragon’ Dragunov. That dude is a hard worker. He’s a hell of a talent. I see him moving to the next level relatively quickly. Dragunov is a special talent.”

Who Else Has Praised Ilja Dragunov?

Dragunov was also the recipient of recent praise from WWE SmackDown Superstar Grayson Waller. The Australian would go so far as to describe Dragunov’s talent as ‘terrifying’.

In a recent episode of his podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer believes that CM Punk wanted out of AEW shortly after arriving.
