Jim Ross Gives AEW Contract Status Update – “We’ll Know In A Few Weeks”

Jim Ross Aiming To Return To AEW Before All In

Jim Ross wants to remain with All Elite Wrestling.

JR was a part of the commentary team for the All In pay-per-view, calling multiple matches in the opening portion of the event. Fans were happy that the legendary announcer made it across the Atlantic for the show as he is now in better health.

Ross has previously mentioned that his current contract with AEW is nearing its conclusion, but what is the next stage of his career?

Speaking on the Grilling JR podcast, Ross revealed that he wished to remain with AEW and carry out the same duties, but that decision is out of his hands:

“I hope so, Connie. I don’t have any intentions of changing my employer at all. I like working for AEW. I like working with these talents. I really enjoy being on Collision because I think we’re trying to develop a little different feel for the TV presentation. Not better than Dynamite, but different than Dynamite. So my plan is to continue in some role, and that’s entirely up to Barry Bloom, my agent, and of course, Tony Khan. They hold the cards. They’re doing the negotiating. So my goal is to stay at AEW and contribute and help wherever I can. So hopefully everything will work out okay. We’ll know in a few weeks, that’s for sure,”

Jim Ross Calls Match With Don Callis

With The Invisible Hand currently mentoring Konosuke Takeshita, Callis would join JR at the desk to call the action in the trios match that saw Takeshita, Jay White and Juice Robinson defeat Kenny Omega, “Hangman” Adam Page and Kota Ibushi. In the past, Ross has had some choice words to describe what Don Callis is like in real life.

H/t to Fightful.
