Mickie James Believes Dominik Mysterio Will Become “One Of The Greats”

Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio Will Be In Tag Match At NXT Heatwave

Dominik Mysterio is set to go down as one of the best-ever according to a wrestling legend.

At just 26 years old, Mysterio has already won multiple championships and is prominently featured on the main roster every week. Even though his opinions of his father Rey Mysterio can be called into question, his character work has been top-notch in 2023.

Former Women’s Champion Mickie James praised the North American Champion while appearing on Busted Open Radio. James stated that “Dirty” Dom has surpassed many people’s expectations and fans will look back fondly on his run years down the road:

Dom is incredible. I know he’s a bad guy and we are supposed to hate him. But I look and I go where did he train? It’s not like we watched Dominik on the independents or in a smaller organisation. No one knew what to expect when he was going to be a wrestler and he has completely killed it. Just the natural ability and it’s the little things you see him doing that he looks like a 10 or 20-year veteran out there. A lot of his euphemisms, and body language, we are going to look back and how we do in wrestling. 10 years from now you are going to say, Dominik Mysterio is one of the greats.

Receiving the loudest negative reaction on TV each week, Mysterio struggles to get a word in without being drowned out by the WWE Universe. James continued to put over Mysterio by giving the young star a rare compliment:

Look how much heat he has. He is already really great and I don’t love to say that about young talent because it heeds people and their learning capabilities because they start to think that they are already great when they are still learning and have this potential of being mega great. That’s a sidebar but man, he is so damn good. And if he is already this good now, what can we expect to see from Dominik Mysterio? He is just scratching the surface.

Dominik Mysterio Breaks Out

The Judgment Day member is now known for a lot more than just being Rey Mysterio’s son. Following a stint in prison and making his father’s life a living hell, Dominik Mysterio has started to form his own legacy away from the famous last name, which can be more of a curse than a blessing.

Following a blip at No Mercy, Dominik Mysterio has risen to the top once again by recapturing the North American Championship.
