LA Knight Needs To Win A Championship In His Current Run

LA Knight Responds To Fans Chanting For Him After AEW Dynamite

LA Knight feels that he needs to win a championship to solidify his current run.

The Megastar has gotten some of the loudest reactions each week and won the Slim Jim Battle Royal at SummerSlam, but that first main roster championship still alludes him. There looked to be a point where Knight was on course for a United States Championship opportunity but lost out in the first round of the tournament. For Knight, he wants that to change very soon.

Speaking with Review STL, Knight was asked if during this current run, is it a necessity to win a championship. Knight responded that the title would be vindication for him and that he could be considered one of the all-time greats if he never won a title:

“It’s necessary for me. People might have different philosophies of whether it’s necessary for you to be popular. No, maybe it’s not necessary to be popular but for me, to be where I want to be and do what I want to do, I think it’s very necessary because you can’t be in those conversations as far as who’s the best now or maybe even possibly all time unless you’ve held those titles. So, is it necessary from a popularity standpoint? Maybe not, but is it necessary for me and what I want to accomplish? Yeah.”

LA Knight Set For A Showdown With The Miz At Payback

The Megastar intends to silence The A Lister when both Superstars go one-on-one at the Payback Premium Live Event. The Miz feels that Knight is nothing more than a flash in the pan and will be forgotten about just like many others in the near future. Knight on the other hand believes differently and is here to stay and continue his ascent to the top.

H/t to Fightful.
