Tony Atlas Asks Fans To “Step On His Face” This Holiday Season

Tony Atlas

It’s the age-old question come the holiday season, what do you get that person that has everything? Well for WWE Hall Of Famer Tony Atlas, the answer to that might surprise you.

Atlas began his storied wrestling career in the mid-1970s competing for various NWA territories as well as New Japan Pro Wrestling before settling in the World Wrestling Federation in the early eighties.

In 1983 Tony Atlas teamed with Rocky Johnson as Soul Patrol and captured the WWF Tag Team Championship from The Wild Samoans. In doing so, Atlas and Johnson became the first African American holders of that title.

After a brief switch to the American Wrestling Association, Atlas was back in the WWF in time to compete in the famed Battle Royal at WrestleMania 2 where he was eliminated by another future WWE Hall Of Famer, Willam ‘The Refrigerator’ Perry.

A nomadic career followed as Atlas returned several times to the WWF/WWE and had stints in WCW as well. Tony Atlas acted as Mark Henry’s manager during The World’s Strongest Man’s stint on the ECW brand between 2008 and 2009.

These days, wrestling folklore suggests that Tony Atlas is as well known for a more personal reason as he is for his stellar wrestling career. The WWE Hall Of Famer is a known lover of feet and judging by his latest post on social media, he doesn’t care who knows it, writing:

“Step on my face, it’s the gift that keeps giving this holiday season!”

So while you’re browsing through your local independent stores looking for that perfect jumper or piece of jewelry for your loved ones this holiday season – just keep in mind it’s less Soul Patrol and more Sole Patrol for Mr. USA.
