FTR Make Decision On wrestling Future

Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler - FTR

Dax Harwood has confirmed that he and Cash Wheeler have made a decision on what the future holds for FTR.

Over the past few months, there has been a lot of speculation on whether the former AAA, IWGP, and ROH Tag Team Champions would re-sign with AEW once their contract expires in April or make the move back to WWE.

Now Harwood has taken to social media to reveal they know the answer although they won’t be able to tell fans for a “couple of weeks” yet.

“just got off the phone with Cash. We’ve decided what we’re going to do come April. NOTHING is official yet, so legally, can’t speak on it, but in the next couple of weeks, we’ll let all of our fans know. We owe it to y’all for the opportunities we have in front of us. Love y’all.”

After taking a break from the ring in January, the former AAA, IWGP, and ROH World Tag Team Champions made a surprise return at Revolution to confront current AEW Tag Team Champions The Gunns. On the following episode of Dynamite, they made their intentions clear.

Following FTR’s return to AEW it was reported that they are locked into long-term deals with the company, although Harwood dismissed this, claiming that nothing had changed. He explained that the duo got a call from Tony Khan asking them to go back to work, something they were happy to do as they remain under contract.

Dax Harwood recently revealed what it would take for FTR to stay in AEW

Speaking on the latest episode of his podcast FTR, Harwood explained that in order to stick around in AEW, they need to be treated like “top guys.”

“If we stick around in AEW after the thing with the Gunns is over with, we have to be presented as main event-level guys. We have to be presented as, no pun intended, top guys,” he said. “Because if we don’t … the same thing that happened last year is gonna happen this year.”
