It was Monday Night Raw featuring GUNTHER-Tommaso Ciampa for the Intercontinental Title, a frustrated Drew McIntyre and plenty more.

This week’s Raw took place at the SAP Center in San Jose, California with Michael Cole and Wade Barrett on commentary. It was the last Raw before WWE Fastlane this Saturday, October 7th.

Raw started with a brawl between Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler from the backstage area and led to them fighting in the ring. Raquel Rodriguez made her return to go after Jax as well. The Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley also returned to go after Jax as well. Security broke it up, but Ripley gave one security guy a Riptide slam.

Rhea Ripley did a promo saying “Mami” is back and called out The Judgment Day, so Damian Priest & Dominik Mysterio entered the ring without Finn Balor, who was off this week. Ripley said Priest let her down while Finn is out hurt and Priest isn’t cleared this week. Priest pointed out he has his title and Money in the Bank briefcase, but what about Dominik? Ripley told Dominik he has a rematch at NXT and told him to bring back the NXT North American Title or don’t bother coming home at all.

Jey Uso interrupted the promo saying Rhea Ripley was acting like the Tribal Chief and said she had bigger balls than Roman Reigns. Dominik said he’ll take care of it. JD McDonagh arrived to help Dominik. Cody saved Jey from the double team attack while Priest was out on the floor. Adam Pearce, the WWE Official, appeared to say that Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso will face Damian Priest & Finn Balor for the WWE Tag Team Titles at WWE Fastlane.

Match #1: Imperium – Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci defeated Alpha Academy – Chad Gable & Otis. Kaiser got the win for his team with a kick to Otis leading to the pin.

It was mentioned that Becky Lynch was unable to defend the NXT Women’s Title against Tegan Nox as scheduled on Raw due to not being medically cleared. Lynch needed 11 stitches after her match at NXT No Mercy this past Saturday.

Match #2: Bronson Reed defeated Cedric Alexander by pinfall in about two minutes. Reed hit the Tsunami splash to win.

GUNTHER, the Intercontinental Champion, and Tommaso Ciampa had a contract signing for an Intercontinental Title match. It was going to happen next week, but then they decided to have it later on Raw.

Match #3: Xavier Woods defeated Ivar by pinfall. Woods won with a small package.

After the match, Ivar beat up both New Day guys (Woods and Kofi Kingston). Ivar hit a moonsault off the top onto both guys.

Seth “Freakin” Rollins, the World Heavyweight Champion, was interviewed by Michael Cole talking about how he’s going to win at Fastlane. Shinsuke Nakamura did a cheap attack and gave Rollins a backbreaker through a chair. Nakamura hit a Kinshasa knee strike leading to Nakamura counting to ten. It was a way to preview what might happen in the Last Man Standing Match at Fastlane.

Match #4: Tegan Nox beat Chealsea Green by pinfall. Nox won with the Shiniest Wizard in about two minutes. Natalya went to ringside to watch Nox’s back in case Piper Niven got involved.

Drew McIntyre did a promo about how he was tired of getting involved in other people’s business. The Miz did a promo trashing McIntyre.

Match #5: Drew McIntyre defeated The Miz by pinfall. The Miz worked the match wearing a black suit and dress clothes. Drew won with a Future Shock DDT so he didn’t even need to do a Claymore Kick to win.

Trick Williams, the NXT North American Champion, was interviewed backstage. Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day interrupted as they exchanged words.

Cody Rhodes was interviewed to announce that he and Jey Uso will be on Smackdown this week.

Match #6: GUNTHER defeated Tommaso Ciampa to retain the Intercontinental Championship. GUNTHER won with a sleeper in a match that went over 20 minutes.

After the match, Imperium’s Kaiser & Vinci stomped on Ciampa while GUNTHER went to the back. Johnny Gargano made his return after being away for several months and saved Ciampa. The reunited Gargano & Ciampa cleaned house. The show ended before they did a double team attack on Vinci. On WWE’s X/Twitter account, they showed the video of Gargano & Ciampa aka #DIY doing the Meet in the Middle (superkick/knee) combo.
