Mandy Rose Released By WWE

Mandy Rose poses with the NXT Women's Title

Just 24-hours after losing the NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez, Mandy Rose has been released from her WWE contract.

The defeat brought to an end a 413 day reign as champion where she was positioned as the figurehead of NXT’s women’s division.

Mandy Rose WWE Exit Linked To BrandArmy Content

Rose’s shock exit is reportedly tied to content she was posting on her Fantime page. A report from Fightful Select notes that WWE felt that the content she was posting was “outside the parameters” of her WWE deal.

This comes just days after racy photos of the star were leaked online.

“Fightful Select has learned that Mandy Rose has been released by WWE. WWE officials felt they were put in a tough position based on the content she was posting on her Fantime page. They felt like it was outside of the parameters of her WWE deal.”

Mandy Rose won the NXT Women’s Title back in October 2021, defeating Raquel Rodriguez at Halloween Havoc. Rose had only returned to the brand three months earlier after a largely unsuccessful stint on the main roster.

During her return to NXT Rose teamed with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne as Toxic Attraction. Dolin and Jayne have held the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles twice during this run.

Roxanne Perez emerged as number one contender for the NXT Women’s Title after she won the first-ever Iron Survivor Challenge Match at Deadline. On the following episode of NXT the match between Rose and Perez was made with the challenger grabbing the gold in the main event.

Rose was only days away from eclipsing Shayna Baszler’s 416 day reign to become the second-longest reigning champion. Asuka holds the record for the longest reign with the title at 522 days.
