MJF recently met up with another star of the squared circle who made the transition to the big screen.
On December 11th, the Los Angeles premiere of The Iron Claw, the highly anticipated biopic of the Von Erich family, took place. The AEW World Champion is credited as an executive producer for the title and briefly cameos in The Iron Claw as Lance Von Erich.
Stars from the wrestling world were in attendance for the premiere, including 16-time World Champion and Hollywood star John Cena. As seen via footage at the event and on MJF’s own social media, Cena and Maxwell Jacob Friedman shook hands on the red carpet in Hollywood.

Following his appearance at the premiere, John Cena took to social media to praise Zac Efron and thanked A24 for making the Von Erich biopic so it would introduce new fans to the important wrestling family:

Cena has recently departed WWE once more following the conclusion of the SAG-AFTRA strike that took place throughout the autumn of 2023.
The Von Erich biopic portrays the rise of the legendary family and focuses on brothers Kerry, Kevin, David and Mike. During a recent interview, Chavo Guerrero, who trained the actors for their wrestling roles, revealed why brother Chris Von Eirich is not featured in the movie.
Will MJF Require Time Away From AEW?
Fans are concerned about the condition of the World Champion following his most recent title defence against Jay White at Full Gear. Reports would surface after the match that the AEW star suffered multiple injuries at the event including his hip popping out of place and a torn labrum. With the World Champion expected to defend the Triple B against Samoa Joe at the Worlds End pay-per-view in December, an injury update on MJF has recently been provided.
