Seth Rollins Marvel Debut Has Been Delayed

Seth Rollins Marvel Debut Has Been Delayed

Fans eagerly anticipating the upcoming Captain America film that stars Seth Rollins have received some disappointing news.

As reported by Variety, multiple films in the Marvel franchise have been pushed back, with the SAG-AFTRA strike being cited as the reason for the delays.

A chain reaction has taken place which begins with the delay of Deadpool 3, which has been pushed back from May 3, 2024, to July 26, 2024. As a result of this, Captain America: Brave New World, which has Rollins in a prominent role, will not be released until Feb. 14, 2025. Other titles set to be affected include upcoming Marvel projects Thunderbolts and Blade.

While no official announcement has been made by Marvel or WWE regarding The Visionary’s involvement in the superhero franchise, Rollins did confirm his role while appearing on Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals. Aware that hardcore comic book fans can have the same mentality as hardcore wrestling fans, the former WWE Champion is hoping that the audience likes what they see:

“Hopefully everyone doesn’t hate me,” Rollins said. “I don’t want to have ruined everybody’s vision of this character, so I’m doing my best. I hope people enjoy it,”

Based on stories told in the comic books and on-set photos that have leaked, it has been speculated that Rollins will play a member of The Serpent Society in the upcoming Captain America film, which will be the fourth in the franchise.

Rollins remains the World Heavyweight Champion after successfully retaining the title against Drew McIntyre at Crown Jewel.
