JBL – “They Need To Build The Company Around Bobby Lashley”

Former WWE Champion JBL has orated his belief that WWE should build the future of their company around former WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley.

In recent months, ‘The Almighty’ has been the focus of WWE’s mid-card as both US Champion and Chief Hurt Officer for MVP’s Hurt Business stable. However, after dropping the strap to Riddle at the 2021 Elimination Chamber on February 21, the former ECW Champion took a step up the ladder when he attacked WWE Champion Drew McIntyre which allowed The Miz to successfully cash in his Money in the Bank contract.

The following evening on Monday Night Raw, Lashley revealed that the attack was part of a plan between the parties and threatened Miz that dark times awaited if he failed to live up to his end of the deal and grant the star a WWE Championship Match.

Now, JBL has taken to WWE’s The Bump in order to name his former rival as the man WWE should be focussing on from here on out in order to build their company around:

“I knew then that he was filled with unbelievable talent. I think – I said this Sunday – they need to build the company around Bobby Lashley; he’s that good. He looks that good, and he’s good-looking as a human being. He’s an incredible athlete. He’s calling out guys that you wouldn’t even whisper on calling out -Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar. You build a company around Bobby Lashley. I’m interested to see if The Miz can find a way to survive because I think The Miz is the perfect champion right now. But I think in the future, Bobby Lashley is going to win that championship. He’s going to be a future champion for a long, long time.”

JBL’s suggestion may come to pass sooner than even the star thought, as Bobby Lashley will challenge The Miz for the WWE Championship on the March 1 edition of Monday Night Raw with the winner eyeing the WrestleMania main event.
