Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has laid the smackdown on his 2020 battle with COVID-19 and how it affected both himself and his entire family.

In September 2020 it was announced via an Instagram video that the former WWF Champion, his wife and two young daughters had all tested positive for COVID-19 and were required to quarantine for a fourteen day period until they were no longer contagious.

While the beloved talent was never thought to be in any real danger thanks to his superb physique and healthy lifestyle, messages of support and love for the Hollywood mega-star poured in from all over the world wishing him and his family a speedy recovery.

Now, ‘The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment’ has sat down with Cigar Aficionado to discuss his battle with the virus and how it impacted his family and those outside his immediate household:

“In a 24-hour period, it had spread so quickly to our nanny, our nanny’s teenage kids, her husband. Myself and my two-year-old daughter, we were the last ones standing until the very end, but of course we both tested positive. We were on the fortunate end for something that has been so traumatic to the world. We got through it.”

‘The People’s Champion’ not only got through it, but returned to work as soon as he was able both acting and producing as part of his Seven Bucks Production company which he runs with ex-wife and business partner, Dani Garcia.

In a recent Instagram post, The Rock sneakily revealed the shooting script for his upcoming DC blockbuster, Black Adam, while showing off his new trainers. Away from the world of superheroes, ‘The Brahma Bull’ will next be seen in feature films Disney’s Jungle Cruise and Red Notice in 2021 as well as the narrator of his biographical television series, Young Rock.
