Molly Holly has been announced as the first inductee into the 2021 class of the WWE Hall Of Fame, with the ceremony streaming on Peacock and the WWE Network.
Holly was appearing on WWE’s The Bump alongside her former superhero partner Shane ‘Hurricane’ Helms. An emotional Helms would be the one to tell Holly that she was the first announced inductee for this year’s class.
Molly Holly would beam as she exclaimed:
“Oh my gosh, this is awesome! Thank you so much, this is incredible!”
It was announced on the same edition of The Bump that the 2021 Hall Of Fame Ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, 6th of April 2021. As well as the new 2021 class, the class of 2020 will also be inducted after being announced last year. The 2020 Hall Of Fame ceremony was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Batista, John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield and The British Bulldog are set to be inducted into the 2020 class. They will be joined by Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger, The Bella Twins and the NWO.

Molly Holly debuted for WWE in 2000 as one of the Holly cousins alongside Hardcore and Crash Holly. Holly would later become Mighty Molly, joining The Hurricane as his sidekick. The duo would share a famous moment at WrestleMania 18. With the Hardcore Championship operating under 24/7 rules, Holly would nail Hurricane with a frying pan and defeat him for the title.
Holly is also a two-time WWE Women’s Champion. She would win the title for the first time at King Of The Ring 2002 against fellow WWE Hall Of Famer Trish Stratus. Holly’s second reign as champion would begin in July 2003 when she defeated Gail Kim.
Stratus would take to social media herself to congratulate Holly:
“So so happy about this wonderful news for my beautiful and talented friend #MollyHolly! She has given so much to this business and personally, she was a huge part of helping me transition into a fighting champion that could be taken seriously. Love and appreciate her so much!”
Molly Holly last appeared in the ring for WWE in 2020 when she entered the women’s Royal Rumble match. Holly would be on hand to induct friend and former rival Ivory into the Hall Of Fame in 2018.
