John Cena Sr Reveals Who Should Induct His Son Into The Hall Of Fame

John Cena

It’s a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if’ 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame.

From debuting on SmackDown in mid June 2002 revealing his “Ruthless Agression” to winning a record-equalling 16th world championship in 2017. The Doctor of Thuganomics has done it all.

As Cena’s time inside the ring draws to a close, and WrestleMania season is in full swing, attention has naturally turned to who may induct the star into the Hall of Fame. One man who might have the inside track on who will induct the WWE veteran when the time is right, is Cena’s father John Cena Sr.

Speaking to Dr. Chris Featherstone on UnSKripted, Cena Sr commented that he doesn’t know when his son will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, but reveals who he thinks would be a “good choice” to do the honours.

“Maybe it’s gonna be soon, maybe it’s gonna be later. When he gets inducted into the Hall of Fame who should induct him and why? I would probably think it might be Vince McMahon. That would be a good choice. The Rock might be another good choice. Or (points at himself) J-Fab.”

During his time in WWE John Cena has won all that there is to win. That includes five WWE United States Championship triumphs, multiple WWE Tag Team Championship reigns as well as two Royal Rumble victories.

In recent years, Cena has stepped away from being a full-time performer, moving into acting, landing roles in Playing With Fire, and most recently The Suicide Squad.

Cena has not been seen inside a WWE ring since April 2020, where he was defeated by ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36 in a Firefly Funhouse Match.

Meanwhile, Apollo Crews recently credited Cena with helping him “find himself” after he initially struggled on WWE’s main roster.
