AEW President Tony Khan

Tony Khan has revealed there’s some big news coming on AEW Dynamite.

AEW All In is set to take place on August 27th and the show will undoubtedly be the biggest in company history. However, while the event is just around the corner, no matches have been announced and the card remains a mystery to fans. Although not for much longer.

On August 2nd, AEW heads to Tampa for the first time to celebrate the 200th episode of its flagship show Dynamite. Speaking in an interview with the Orlando Sentinel, Tony Khan discussed the milestone, and the huge show at Wembley Stadium.

In relation to the card, Khan said he always intended to wait until episode 200, confirming that plans will be coming together on-screen very soon.

“Looking at the path we’d be on this summer towards All In at Wembley, I always felt tonight in Tampa would be the perfect place to begin match announcements and officially take that next step,” Khan said. “It’s perfect timing, the perfect amount of excitement. The 200th episode is important to the network and to the fans. It’s a major milestone for Dynamite, and it happens to be four weeks out from All In.”

What Did Tony Khan Say About Triple H?

During the same interview, Tony Khan also shot back at Triple H after WWE’s Chief Content Officer referred to AEW as a “secondary promotion” in a new documentary about Cody Rhodes. Khan said that AEW’s success in selling over 77,000 tickets for All In proves that the promotion is second to no one.
