Current WWE Star Removed From WWE 2K23 Roster

Fans are eagerly anticipating the launch of the latest in the WWE 2K franchise, WWE 2K23. The game, set to be released on March 17, 2023, will feature John Cena as its cover star and will focus on the impressive career of 16-time world champion John Cena, with the 2K Showcase mode highlighting his journey through the industry.

When news that he was the latest cover star leaked, Cena had a hilarious response on social media.

The game will feature a range of modes, including General Manager, MyRISE career mode, and the franchise’s first-ever twist in the 2K Showcase mode. Players will not be playing as Cena, but instead, work to defeat him in 14 matches inspired by iconic moments in Cena’s career in which he was defeated.

Now, WWE 2K have announced the full roster of WWE Superstars that will be available in the new game at launch. Not only will the game feature legendary performers such as John Cena and Dave Bautista, it will also feature NXT stars such as Nikkita Lyons, Axiom, and JD McDonagh. The company released an official gameplay trailer at the beginning of February.

Scarlett No Longer Listed On WWE 2K23 Roster, Other Changes Made As Well

WWE 2K released a complete roster list earlier this week, but eagle-eyed fans have noticed that some changes have already been on the company’s official website.

Most notably, Karrion Kross’ partner Scarlett was previously listed, but has since been removed from the roster. It is unknown why this change was made. In addition, the roster list no longer includes the last names of Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza, listing them simply as Humberto and Angel. The spellings of Maximum Male Models have also been updated to MA.CE and MAN.SOOR.
