Ric Flair Sets His Sights On A Third WWE Hall Of Fame Induction

Ric Flair WWE Hall of Fame

Ric Flair’s career spanned five decades, beginning in 1972 and ending with his final match in Nashville, TN on July 31st, 2022.

During this time, he became a 16-time World Champion across the NWA and WCW as well as winning numerous other accolades including the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Ric Flair was also a founding member of the legendary Four Horsemen stable in Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling alongside Ole and Arn Anderson, and Tully Blanchard. He went on to lead the group in all of its incarnations in the NWA and WCW.

The Nature Boy has been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, once for his illustrious singles career in 2008 and then again 2012 as part of the Horsemen. Now, he has his sights set on a record-setting third Hall of Fame ring.

Ric Flair wants a third Hall of Fame induction

Speaking on his podcast, To Be The Man, Flair addressed Dave Bautista’s Hall of Fame status. The Animal had been due an induction as part of the class of 2020, but due the COVID-19 pandemic, that Class was postponed. Bautista has since disclosed he was not part of the ceremony when it did happen because he wants to be able to thank his fans and peers properly and not virtually.

Flair and Bautista’s history goes back to their days in the Evolution stable in the mid-2000s. Led by Triple H and also including Randy Orton, the group ran roughshod over WWE during their brief existence from 2003-2005 and went on to spawn classic rivalries between all four men.

Flair thinks it would be great if Bautista is inducted this year when WrestleMania Goes Hollywood, adding that once he is in, they’ll be able to induct Evolution as well.

“I think it’s great. As soon as they get Dave in, then we can get Evolution in.”

During his latest film’s premiere, he was asked by Liam Crowley of ComicBook.com about whether or not he would be inducted as part of the class of 2023. Bautista confirmed that he hopes to be, but can’t say for sure.
