Nyla Rose believes AEW needs to add more titles to its lineup.

All Elite Wrestling’s women’s division currently features two champions, with Hikaru Shida holding the AEW Women’s Championship and Kris Statlander serving as TBS Champion. According to Nyla Rose, the division would do well to add tag belts to its lineup to give women the chance to win tag team gold.

In recent months, Rose has found herself in an alliance with Marina Shafir, and now she’s made it clear that she’d love the opportunity to win tag team gold with her partner. Speaking in a new interview with MuscleManMalcolm, the star said that she’s been pushing for the company to add women’s tag team titles since her early days with the promotion.

“In all honesty, I have been pushing for this since day 37. I’m not going to say day one, I wanted the world title from day one, but after things settled a little bit, I’ve been pushing for Women’s Tag Titles. I would love to not only win them, but also introduce them, bring them in. I would love to get Women’s Tag Titles. Would love to hold them with my tag partner Marina Shafir. Do that and then I can be the actual grand slam champion.”

Nyla Rose Is A Former AEW Women’s Champion

Back in February of 2020, Rose became the second-ever AEW Women’s World Champion when she defeated Riho on an episode of Dynamite. She was eventually dethroned by Hikaru Shida the following May at Double or Nothing.

While she once stole the championship belt from Jade Cargill, Rose is not a former TBS Champion, despite her claims to the contrary.
