Will Ospreay is set to perform in front of the largest crowd in his entire career.

Having previously wrestled in front of 40,000 people inside the Tokyo Dome in 2020, Ospreay will be performing to a crowd twice as big at AEW All In as he takes on Chris Jericho for the first time ever. To add to the big match feel, the bout will be taking place in front of 80,000 fans just a short drive away from Ospreay’s hometown of Essex.

Acknowledging how significant the match on August 27th will be, the IWGP United States Champion has described how he feels going into the match on social media.

Ospreay has stated how thankful he is to be wresting on such a big AEW show despite the fact that he is not signed to the promotion:

This feels like a strange dream. I can’t tell you the things I feel right now & how grateful I am for this opportunity. I’ve been a mainstay for British wrestling for over 10 years now. I’ve seen it at its highest & seen it at its lowest, wrestled the greatest our island has to offer.

When I first came into the scene I have no problem with admitting my immaturity when it came to the business side of wrestling. Over the last few years life has completely changed for me. I’ve taken on a lot of responsibilities in my home life that has completely changed who I am as a person. I’m so thankful to everyone that has supported me throughout this journey in wrestling whether it’s Fans, Family, Friends or Promoters.

The day before I face my favourite opponent in Shingo Takagi for a company that has watch me evolve into the man I am today in Revolution Pro Wrestling. Andy Q has mentored me not only professionally but personally and has taken on so much responsibility in my growth throughout this time.

So it would truly be incredible if you have a free Saturday before All In to come to the promotion that has given me the ticket to this incredible life I live not only for PW but it’s insanely talented roster that deserves the spotlight. I’ve had such an incredible experience with helping many of the talents and I would love them all to have the best show possibly for them now and for their future.

For it to all culminate to Wembley Stadium where only the elite of the elite have ever performed and I don’t even bloody work for the actual company. Truly is amazing and to do it against Jericho it’s overwhelming that 80,000 human beings are gonna watch the biggest moment of my career.

2023 Is The Year Of Will Ospreay

Few wrestlers have had the year that Ospreay has had. Kicking off the year strong with the second-highest-rated match of all time against Kenny Omega, The Ariel Assassin would face Omega in a rematch at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in another critically acclaimed encounter whilst wrestling all around the world in between.

Will Ospreay will be returning to the UK after competing in the G1 Climax 33, where the British star would make it to the final 4 before being eliminated by eventual winner Tetsuya Naito.
