Thunder Rosa with AEW Women's World Championship

A tearful Thunder Rosa has revealed that she is unable to compete at All Out, meaning a new Interim Women’s World Champion will soon be crowned.

Thunder Rosa had been scheduled to defend her AEW Women’s World Championship at All Out on September 4th against Toni Storm, but that match is now off.

Speaking during a backstage segment on Dynamite, Thunder Rosa revealed that she is unable to compete at the upcoming pay-per-view due to injury. As a result a Fatal-Four-Way Match will now be held at the spectacular to crown an Interim Women’s Champion.

During an emotional promo, Rosa vowed to be back stronger than ever, before tipping her tag team partner Toni Storm to emerge as the new champion.

The match at All Out will feature Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, Toni Storm and Jamie Hayter.

Thunder Rosa has held the AEW Women’s World Championship since defeating Britt Baker in a Steel Cage match at St Patrick’s Day Slam. Her most recent defence came at Battle of the Belts III where she defeated Jamie Hayter.

On the show it was also announced that Chris Jericho will meet Bryan Danielson as both men desperately attempt to prove they are the best wrestler in the world.
