Kazuchika Okada Set For First-Ever AEW Dynamite Match

Kazuchika Okada will compete on AEW Dynamite for the first time ever when he returns to the promotion next week!

During AEW Battle Of The Belts VIII last night, it was announced that Okada will be part of a huge tag team match on the October 25th edition of AEW Dynamite next Wednesday.

Jon Moxley made his return to the promotion on AEW Collision and as Battle of The Belts began, Orange Cassidy shoulder-checked Moxley as the latter was making his way to the back. Moxley had to be restrained as Cassidy entered the ring.

Following Cassidy’s successful defense of the AEW International title over John Silver, he addressed Moxley and the Blackpool Combat Club as a whole. He then laid down a challenge to Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli for a tag team match against him and the returning Kazuchika Okada.

Despite making his AEW debut on Dynamite back in June 2022, The Rainmaker has never competed on AEW’s flagship television program. In fact, Okada has only competed for the promotion at its two Forbidden Door events thus far.

At the 2022 Forbidden Door, he unsuccessfully challenged Jay White for the IWGP World Heavyweight title alongside Adam Cole and Adam Page. He went on to get his first AEW win at the following year’s event where he defeated Bryan Danielson in the headline match.

Who Else Will Compete On AEW Dynamite Alongside Kazuchika Okada?

Alongside Kazuchika Okada’s bout, four other matches have been confirmed for next week’s AEW Dynamite.

Rob Van Dam will also return to AEW to team up with HOOK against as yet-unannounced opponents; The Young Bucks & Hangman Page defend the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team titles against The Hardys & Brother Zay, MJF and Juice Robinson battle over the former’s Dynamite Diamond Ring; and Ruby Soho will challenge Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
