Ricochet In Concussion Protocol Following WWE Raw

Ricochet WWE

Ricochet seemingly suffered a concussion during last night’s episode of Raw and is now said to be in WWE concussion protocol.

The former Intercontinental Champion was involved in a #1 Contender’s Fatal-4-Way which ended with a bizarre double-pin finish, despite Ricochet kicking out of his pin. It has now come to light that Ricochet was supposed to be pinned but kicked out due to potentially suffering a concussion, as reported by Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio:

“I am 99% positive that Ricochet was supposed to be pinned, but he kicked out, because he was messed up. Everyone is confused, and the referee makes a deal and it ends up with Ivar laying out The Miz afterward and destroying him with a giant moonsault and leaving him for dead. The crowd chants ‘You suck’ […] Ricochet was led off, and he is in the concussion protocol.”

Dave Meltzer corroborated the report on X later, noting his belief that Ricochet was “rocked” earlier in the match.

ANSWER: Which Two Women Have Competed In Every Women's WarGames Match?

Damage CTRL Bayley Dakota Kai IYO SKY

Earlier, we asked if you could guess who the two women were who’ve competed in every Women’s WarGames match in history!

We can now reveal that the correct answer is IYO SKY and Dakota Kai! Both women have competed in all four Women’s WarGames matches that have ever taken place!

Congratulations to Thomas Nevitt and Matthew B who guessed correctly!

Interestingly, they also co-hold the record of competing in the most WWE WarGames matches in history with four. Seven wrestlers are currently tied for the record: SKY, Kai, Butch, Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong.

Jonathan Coachman

Jonathan Coachman Argues Modern Wrestlers Should Be Selfish

Jonathan Coachman

Former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman has argued that modern wrestling would be better if its stars were more selfish.

Speaking on Insight With Chris Van Vilet, Coachman discussed how the stars of the Attitude Era were forced to be selfish in order to reach the top. He went on to argue that there would be better storylines and promos in wrestling today if wrestlers fought more to get to the main event scene.

“I hate when people say oh, The Rock was selfish back then. Everybody had to be selfish back then. People don’t understand; they look at what it is now. You hear it all the time; the best time of wrestling was the Attitude Era.

“Because you had Imagine having 15 LeBron James, and then your NBA finals or your Super Bowl is only two guys. And you got 15 guys that can be in that spot. Well, that’s what you aspire to be. You’re talking about a million-dollar bonus to be in the main event at WrestleMania. Would you be unselfish, or I mean, would you be selfish? 100% You would be.

“So when I hear that narrative about The Rock was selfish back in the day, you had to. Stone Cold was selfish. Triple H was selfish. Undertaker was selfish. Shawn Michaels was selfish. Mick Foley was selfish. They had to be because everybody fought to get in that spot. If more people in wrestlers fought today to get in that spot, I think we’d have better storylines. We’d have more competition, we’d have better promos, we’d have quicker, whatever. I really believe that.”

Jim Cornette Hits Out At "Gutless" WWE Hall of Famer Kane

Jim Cornette looking at the camera looking angry

Jim Cornette has criticised the politics of WWE Hall of Famer and Knox County Mayor Glenn ‘Kane’ Jacobs.

Yesterday, Jacobs took to X to give his latest thoughts on the United States’ gun violence issues, hinting at his belief that gun control would not alleviate the issue.

Cornette didn’t hold back with his response, calling Kane a “gutless elected official” and criticised him for not doing enough to curb the issue.

Dana White Shoots Down Brock Lesnar UFC 300 Return

Brock Lesnar on WWE Raw

UFC President Dana White has shot down the possibility of Brock Lesnar returning to mixed martial arts at UFC 300.

In a new interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, White addressed the possibility of Lesnar, as well as former WWE star Ronda Rousey, making a return to UFC at their landmark 300th event. Unfortunately for fans looking forward to either star returning, it doesn’t look like that’ll be the case.

“I get why everybody asks. I love that everybody loves them like that, and with so much passion. I do, too. But they’re definitely not coming back for UFC 300.”

“I’m focused on Madison Square Garden. But no, they’re not coming back.”

Corey Graves

Corey Graves Admits He Was "Upset" Over Being Replaced By Pat McAfee

Corey Graves

Corey Graves has admitted that he felt personally slighted when he was replaced on the SmackDown commentary booth by Pat McAfee.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Graves revealed that he was “a little upset professionally” by the move as he felt he had paid his dues by working on both Raw and SmackDown weekly for two straight years.

He went on to admit he had to be talked “off the ledge” of expressing his frustrations by his wife Carmella as well as long-time commentary partner Michael Cole.

“I think the world of Pat. He, again, is such a strong persona — it’s easy for me to play off of and rib him and get under his skin. I was a little upset professionally that I found out, like, ‘Hey, you’re going from Friday Night ‘SmackDown’ on FOX, the network show that you kicked off with Michael Cole … I took it a little personally, not because of Pat but it was sort of like, ‘I’ve paid my dues here. I’m the guy that shows up week after week. I’m the guy that did both ‘Raw’ and ‘SmackDown’ for two years straight, never complained and this is how you do me?’”

“[Carmella] talked me off a ledge and I had a few conversations with Cole. Michael Cole is my boss/therapist. So, he talked me off the ledge as well, and looking back, you know, it’s business […] It was a shock that I didn’t see coming but, you know what? I dealt with it. We’re all better off for it, I think.”

Gene Snitsky Makes Surprise Backstage WWE Appearance

Gene Snitsky making his entrance in WWE

Gene Snitsky has returned to WWE for the first time in almost 15 years! …Well, sort of.

In an exclusive clip posted to social media, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Chelsea Green rants at the camera over her loss in the #1 Contender’s Women’s World Championship Battle Royal.

Eventually, she demands to know who was responsible for putting herself and Niven in the match in the first place and runs straight into a large figure. The camera pans up to reveal the figure to be none other than former WWE star Gene Snitsky.

Snitsky leers at Green whilst responding that her involvement in the match wasn’t his fault. Green walks away in disgust as Snitsky creepily smiles at her before hysterically laughing.

First WarGames Match Confirmed For WWE Survivor Series

WWE Survivor Series WarGames

The Men’s WarGames match is now official for this year’s WWE Survivor Series!

After Seth Rollins successfully retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn in the main event, The Judgement Day attacked Zayn. This led to a huge brawl after Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso attempted to make the save.

In an attempt to restore order, General Manager Adam Pearce declared that everyone would settle their differences inside WarGames – announcing that Rollins, Zayn, Rhodes, and Uso will face Balor, Priest, Mysterio, and McDonagh at Survivor Series.

The announcement lines up with a Survivor Series report last month which noted it was being “heavily implied” that one of the WarGames matches would feature The Judgement Day.

Of the eight men in the upcoming match, only Zayn and Uso have previous experience with the stipulation. Both competed in last year’s Men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series as part of The Bloodline.

Audible CM Punk Chant Features On WWE Raw

CM Punk making his entrance at AEW Revolution 2022

An audible CM Punk could be heard during the post-Crown Jewel edition of WWE Raw.

For many years after CM Punk’s sudden departure from WWE, crowd chants of the former WWE Champion’s name could regularly be heard on the company’s programming.

Whilst the movement has died down in recent years, rumors of Punk potentially returning to WWE have seemingly revived it as the chant could be heard echoing throughout the Mohegan Sun Arena during last night’s WWE Raw.

The chant specifically broke out during Shinsuke Nakamura and Akira Tozawa’s match. Recently, Shinsuke Nakamura has seemingly made reference to CM Punk on WWE programming by hitting his finisher – the Go 2 Sleep.
