AEW Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament Final Confirmed

AEW Announces Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament

The latest edition of AEW Collision saw the Final for the Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament set.

Collision featured the two semi-final matches in the tournament to determine the next challenger for AEW World Champion MJF.

First up Darby Allin took on Roderick Strong. However, before Allin could make his way to the ring, Luchasaurus and Christian Cage gave him a brutal beatdown, ending with the TNT Champion throwing Allin into a loading bay door.

Allin made it to the ring and gave his best effort, but the effects of the beatdown were too much and Strong was able to hit End of Heartache to take the victory and advance.

In the main event of the show, Samoa Joe clashed with Penta El Zero Miedo. The pair went to war over the chance of reaching a title shot. After a lot of back and forth and near falls, the turning point came when Joe moved out of the way of a dive, leading to Penta crashing through a table. Joe then picked up the win with a Rear Naked Choke for the submission.

The final between Roderick Strong and Samoa Joe will take place on the September 13th edition of Dynamite. The show will also see Jon Moxley defending the International Championship and a Four-way match to determine the Number 1 Contender for Saraya’s Women’s World Championship.
