NWA Signs Two TV Deals With Major Broadcast Network

Billy Corgan NWA

NWA programming will be hitting the airwaves in the United States thanks to a new deal signed by owner Billy Corgan.

Earlier this week, owner Billy Corgan appeared on Busted Open and revealed that he had signed two new television deals, though he would not reveal which network was involved at that time. He said:

“I can now say for the first time, and I have to be a bit vague because there’s some other political aspects to this. I can now say that we finally have signed not just one, but two television deals. And that announcement as far as where and who will be coming soon, but we finally now will be able to move off YouTube, not exclusively, because we want to still do stuff on YouTube. But we now will be moving with a network partner.”

“I can’t say who, but I can say it’s a top 20 network, and I’m very excited. I’ve been working on this for over a year, and like I said, not just one but two television deals are involved. Two totally different wrestling-related products that we’ll be offering. So 2024 is looking very, very bright.”

Billy Corgan Says NWA Will Air Powerr And A New Reality Show On The CW

Now, a new report from Haus of Wrestling reveals that NWA’s new deal is with the CW. While logistics are still being ironed out, the report states that an official announcement should be coming “relatively soon.” According to the report, the two deals in question are for NWA Powerrr as well as “a reality TV show about the day-to-day, behind-the-scenes business of the NWA.”

Continuing, the report notes that Corgan has wanted to make a reality show for quite some time, and was once in the process of producing one for A&E during his time with RESISTANCE Pro Wrestling in Chicago. Unfortunately, the project was scrapped.

The new reality show for the CW has already begun filming, and according to Haus of Wrestling, it should be completed soon.

However, NWA Powerrr is expected to air before the new reality program despite the fact that the new show is likely to be finished before new in-ring content can be filmed. Regarding Powerrr, Haus of Wrestling writes:

“NWA Powerrr has already undergone production upgrades for its latest season, and we are told those changes were made in anticipation of the move to The CW. It was not made clear to us if Powerrr will be one or two hours long, but it does not sound like it will be live. The way it was described to us, Powerrr will pre-tape episodes in blocks as Impact does for AXS TV.”

NWA has been home to multiple rising stars in the past, including LA Knight (then known as Eli Drake) and new SmackDown GM Nick Aldis.
